9201P EcoGym Premium 1 cm – Technical double-layer recycled rubber flooring
EcoGym is a flooring produced by agglomerating recycled rubber granules. The main characteristic of this type of flooring is its ability to cushion the fall of free weights like barbells, kettlebells, and dumbbells. The Premium version of EcoGym features white speckling, enhancing the surface aesthetics and making it less prone to footprints, dust, and cleaning difficulties—common issues in monochrome black recycled rubber granule tiles.

Recycled Rubber Granules
The shock absorption capacity, excellent comfort during floor exercises, and excellent grip even with sweat on the floor are direct results of the ultra-fine granular composition. Using recycled rubber not only represents a virtuous reuse of used material but also positively impacts production costs. It is important to note that the shock absorption capacity must be adequately considered when the flooring is used as a protection for an existing floor. A few millimeters of rubber cannot completely absorb every type of impact. The force from the fall of a barbell loaded with dozens of kg will always be partially transferred to the underlying floor.
Double Layer: Fine Granules on Top, Coarse Granules on Bottom
The combination of a layer made of coarse granule aggregates with a layer of finer granules allows for the maximum shock absorption capacity while providing a smooth, compact surface that is less prone to crumbling and dirt accumulation.
White Speckling and Puzzle Interlock
Anyone who has trained on flooring made from recycled rubber granules will have noticed that despite the numerous qualities just described, this solution presents two very evident limitations:
- Monochrome black tiles are prone to footprints, accumulate dust, and are difficult to clean.
- Recycled rubber granules are subject to high thermal deformation. Temperature variations can cause gaps between the tiles and lead to their displacement.
To counter these limitations, EcoGym Premium features white speckling and puzzle interlocking. The white speckling makes the surface less prone to footprints and unsightly dust, as well as increasing the brightness of the area. The puzzle interlock limits the formation of gaps due to the thermal deformation of recycled rubber and eliminates tile displacement caused by user activity, especially when tiles are laid as islands, i.e., not against walls.
Compared to customarily recycled rubber flooring, EcoGym does not crumble, releasing high residues of rubber due to use.
Easy-to-fit, seamless, and interlocking jigsaw puzzle.
Among the various solutions, we recommend puzzle tiles with a thickness of 10 mm. In addition to the affordability and its protective capacity, they are easy to assemble and trimmed using a cutter.
The precision of the puzzle joint keeps the tiles together, allowing the practical realization of rubberized areas. The absence of deviations, typical of standard straight edge tiles, often characterized by rounded edges, avoids unsightly joints, a receptacle of dirt.
Other characteristics.
EcoGym is produced without the use of dangerous substances ref. CEE 76/769 and without the use of adhesives containing formaldehyde ref. EN 717/1.
The tiles measure mm 980 x 980, the interlocking assembly and trimming of the joints involve a small dimensional loss. To approximately calculate the number of tiles required, 20% can be added to the area’s square meters: e.g., 30 square meters + 20% = 36 tiles.
As far as cleaning is concerned, it is sufficient to vacuum and then wash the floor with water and detergent in minimum quantities. Deposits or white marks may occur due to the close presence of dusty areas. In these cases, scrubbing brushes with built-in sponge are useful. For surfaces larger than 150 square meters, we recommend using floor washers with rotating brushes to wash and collect dirty water.
