LANDING MAT– FALL PROTECTION MATTRESS
Landing Mat – Sports mattress for landing and falls, designed for gyms and athletic training areas.
Made of soft high-density polyurethane foam, 25 kg/m³, 240x150x h.15 cm (folded 120x150x h.30 cm), covered with durable PVC, foldable and equipped with handles. It is characterized by its large size combined with excellent portability and ease of use.
It is recommended for those who use climbing ropes and suspension training equipment; flying, rings, hammock, or structures that involve skill exercises, calisthenics exercises. For space reasons, for example, to fit it inside a Rack, or to achieve greater fall absorption, it is also possible to fold the mat in half, thus using double thickness.
As with the 0405 Big Mat, it can be used not only to cushion falls but also as a work surface for performing exercises in pre-sport, sports, rehabilitation settings, particularly for functional training on an unstable base, aimed at improving coordination and balance.
The Landing Mat is referred to in various ways; fall mattress, landing mattress, fall protection mattress, trauma protection mattress, etc. It is important that gym and fitness center managers, where structures leading users to perform exercises at height or in suspension, even moderate, are introduced, do not underestimate the importance of equipping the areas with aids capable of protecting people in the event of a fall.
The 0406 Landing Mat, when closed (120×150, thickness 30 cm), meets the requirements of the European standard EN 12503-1 (04/2013) – Part 1: Gymnastic mats, safety requirements, related to Type 7 and Type 8 mats, regarding shock absorption.
