The Public Island Rack is a structure designed to provide outdoor training in public areas, such as parks, gardens and beaches. The rack and all connected components and accessories have in fact been designed in accordance with the EN 16630 standards, aimed at ensuring the safety of those carrying out physical activity outdoors while using freely accessible equipment. The Public Island Rack was created with the aim of combining dual needs: providing professional, functional and complete solutions, suitable for experienced athletes in the areas of functional training, calisthenics, street workout and Crossfit ®, but which, at the same time, also allows it to be used by people interested in a fitness activity dedicated to their own well-being.

PUBLIC ISLAND RACK M6 – Training structure for public areas

The Public Island Rack was created with the aim of combining dual needs: providing professional, functional and complete solutions, suitable for experienced athletes in the areas of functional training, calisthenics, street workout and Crossfit ®, but which, at the same time, also allows it to be used by people interested in a fitness activity dedicated to their own well-being.

This has resulted in a series of components and training stations that make this structure a real “multi-functional island” within which it is possible to perform extremely diversified training and circuits, suitable for every level of physical training.

Configurations and accessories

The Public Island Rack code 9085M6 This is the central module of the 9085, which is configured as a Monkey Walk Bar with a total length of 3.57 m, characterized by the inclination, negative on one side and positive on the other, in order to compose a particularly challenging suspension path, suitable for various levels.

Fixing of the structure

All the products of this line can be purchased with different fixing kits:

The Concrete Plateau Kit includes classic expansion anchoring dowels for concrete, and must be chosen in the event that the structure (or its sub-components) are fixed on a whole reinforced concrete base, with a minimum thickness of 15 cm.

The Concrete Plinth Kit includes some components necessary for joining the structure and the classic expansion anchors for concrete. This solution must be chosen in the event that the structure (or its sub-components) are anchored to 40x40x40 cm underground plinths and full under each anchor point of the structure. The fixing templates with the dimensions for the preparation of the plinths can be requested when ordering.

Public Island Rack anchoring

Public Island Rack and its related accessories, are available in two different fixing kits:

. Fixing kit for concrete plateau

. Fixing kit for concrete plinth

The Concrete Plateau Kit is indicated to be used for the anchoring of the Rack where there is a reinforced concrete slab with a minimum thickness of 12cm.

The realization of the concrete slab is not included with the product.

The dimensions of the slab can be provided by our technical department based on a specific layout, or based on the standard layouts that can be found in the TECHNICAL SHEET on this webpage.

The kit includes threaded bars with chemical anchor.

According to the UNI EN 16630 standard, the adoption of a concrete slab as a flooring requires the presence of anti-trauma flooring with a minimum thickness of 40mm, for example 9198 or 9199. In order to attenuate the users' accidental fall during the training.

The anti-trauma flooring is not included with this product.

The Plinth Kit is a fixing solution that avoids the construction of a concrete slab by attaching the Rack to concrete plinths placed under each upright column.

Adopting a grass turf as a training surface, allows to avoid laying the anti-trauma flooring ( which still remains the recommended solution), making this type of solution the most affordable and with the lowest environmental impact, while respecting the UNI EN 16630 standard.

The Fixing Kit is composed of adjustable height spacers that are placed under the anchoring plates of each upright column. This adjustment solution allows for easy and quick leveling of any misalignment of the concrete plinths

For this fixing kit are required concrete plinths with internal dimensions of 40x40x40cm, which will be placed in the ground to a depth of 60cm from ground level. Regulations require a distance of at least 20 cm between the top of the plinth and the ground surface.

After the placement of the concrete plinths by a contracted company (concrete slab and plinths are not included in the product and cannot be provided by our installers), our installers will proceed with the placement of the fixing kit inside the empty plinth ad with the complete installation of the Rack parts.

Once the Rack assembly is completed by our installers, the contracted company in charge of building the plinths will fill them with concrete, and thereafter, restore the grass surface.

Even in this case, the layout of the plinths will be provided by our technical department.
